Roncesvalles condos

Roncesvalles isn’t known for its condos. It is a neighbourhood mostly known for beautiful Victorian and Edwardian homes of ever-rising value. However, this neighbourhood also has some of the best condo buildings in the city. They are small and fly under the radar, but, as with everything else in this neighbourhood, they do not fail to impress.

Roncesvalles Condos

Robert Watson Lofts:

This condo has two addresses, 363 and 369 Sorauren. 363 Sorauren was the site of an old candy factory that was built-in 1903. The original charm of this building is still intact with high ceilings, huge windows and exposed brick exterior walls. If you like lofts, this is the place to be. 369 Sorauren is a modern building and sits directly behind 363 Sorauren, connected by an outdoor courtyard. 369 Sorauren is a modern loft building and the units have large windows, polished concrete floors and lovely balconies. These buildings are a community unto themselves and have many buyers competing for space there.

High Park Lofts

This is a “soft loft” (meaning that it was built in the style of an old loft) that sits just south of Dundas and Roncey at 437 Roncesvalles. This building has lots of charm but by far the most charming element is the indoor courtyard. Every unit has an interior balcony on which residents can sit and bask in the centre of the building, giving it the feeling of being a town square. Clients of ours who have lived there say that there are often concerts in the main hall with residents listening from their private balconies. This building also has several multi-level units, which is hard to come by in condo.

53 High Park BLVD

With only four units, this one is super exclusive but it is one of our favourite buildings in the neighbourhood. It is a former High Park mansion that was converted into four two-storey units. Each of the units exceeds 2000 square feet. These units don’t often come on the market, but when they do they sell quickly.

383 Sorauren

Built in 2016, this is the newest building on our list. This is a stunning low-rise that has beautiful amenities (living green wall and glass-enclosed party room) and lovely units. This building also has a large range of unit sizes so it appeals to many different types of buyers. Our favourite units are the two-storey penthouse suites that have a beautiful view of the lake.

1 Columbus

This building is a high-end loft building. It is tucked away on a quiet street and hosts very large units. Expect to see high ceilings, exposed brick and luxury finishes.  A true hard loft with lots of light and privacy.

There are many other condos in Roncesvalles, especially along Howard Park and Wabash. The Abbey development also promises to be a beautiful building. We love these five buildings for their character and charm but this is not an exhaustive list. There are so many beautiful boutique condos in Roncesvalles that have been part of the fabric of the Roncesvalles community for many years.
