1211-22 Laidlaw Street

Toronto is just recovering from the only cold snap of this winter. It lasted for approximately 2.5 days, but I wouldn’t know anything about it because I spent the whole time curled up in a blanket beside my fireplace. Normally I am a winter warrior, embracing snow and laughing in the face freezing temperatures. Not this time, though. Like most people I know, I’ve become so accustomed to our temperate, spring-like weather conditions that when winter came for real I just wasn’t ready. I couldn’t face it. I started daydreaming of summer nights, lazily spent on a patio sipping a cocktail.

It is possible that I was dreaming of that specific event because of the new listing we have coming out. This townhouse, located at 1211-22 Laidlaw, has a lot of amazing qualities, but last week, the only one I thought about was the huge, private roof-top terrace. This terrace is what dreams are made of. There is enough room for a whole sectional couch, plus table, BBQ and your closest friends. On these cold days, doesn’t that sound a little too good to be true?

Of course, as I mentioned earlier, the terrace isn’t the only feature worth noting. Not even close. This unit boasts an upgraded kitchen with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and ample cupboard space. Ensuite Laundry, two generously sized bedrooms, and two bathrooms. The icing on the cake is the gas burning fireplace, a rare commodity in condos and condo townhouses.

This unit would be great even if it was in a terrible location. Happily, it is in a great location. Steps to both Queen west and Liberty Village. A five minute drive to the Gardiner for drivers and close to two streetcar lines and a bus route for TTC’ers. That terrace I went on about? It has a direct view of the CN tower.
